Global events and technology company RX (Reed Exhibitions) has released findings from its latest industry research examining customer attitudes, expectations, and challenges related to in-person events in the post-pandemic era.
Following RX’s COVID Barometer research conducted in 2020 and 2021, the company’s Customer Mindset Tracker is the next stage of the barometer. Through the Mindset Tracker, RX stated that it hopes to better understand its customers’ priorities.
For 78% of survey respondents, attending trade shows in person remains a business priority. This figure has increased from 68% in 2021.
RX explained that its Mindset Tracker identified five challenges that exhibitors and attendees are most concerned about in the post-pandemic environment. These include declining sales, meeting new customers, and keeping up with market trends. Feedback from respondents indicated that customers’ physical presence at exhibitions helps reduce these concerns.
Regarding the findings of the research, Gaby Appleton, RX’s Chief Digital Product Officer, stated: “The research confirms that there is a strong desire among exhibitors and visitors to grow their businesses and expand into new products and markets.”
